If coming from an international flight, every effort will be made to arrange your resort transfer within 2 hours of arriving at the lounge. Transfers timings are confirmed the night prior to your arrival.
Anantara Veli Maldives Resort is 21 km from Velana International Airport. The speedboat transfers take 30 minutes (Subject to the weather conditions).
The Maldives is a tropical island country with two distinct and well defined seasons. November to April is the best time to travel to the Maldives when the sun shines for hours each day with the rainfall at it's minimum level. Northeast monsoon presides over a wet season that lasts from May to October which provides a noticeable contrast of the period from the rest of the year.
Like other surf resort in the Maldives, the peak surf season is from April to October when the winds are from the west and swell is from the south east. From November to March, we organise trips to North Male Atoll where waves are stronger, however swell is less consistent.
We recommend our sister Anantara Dhigu and Naladhu Private Island which are both on the same lagoon as Veli for travelers with family.

Anantara Veli Maldives Resort's Over Water Bungalows are more accessible to the beach. Superior Over Water Bungalows on the other hand are on farther side of the jetty and offers a more tranquil and romantic setting.
The Ocean Pool Bungalows at Anantara Veli Maldives Resort are cliff-edge bungalows over looking the Indian Ocean and are ideal for couples looking for utmost privacy. Deluxe Over Water Pool Bungalows meanwhile are overwater villas with pool located at the end of the jetty, direct lagoon access and a guaranteed sunset view.
Anantara Veli guests are welcome to visit, dine and use Anantara Dhigu's facilities. Naladhu Private Island is exclusive to its residents.
